mid century modern bookcase or display shelf. i love the simple look! two metal frames that have 6 shelves that lock into place to keep the shelving sturdy. three back boards that are fitted with wooden dowels, we only show five shelves but we do have six. i liked the openness of the top shelf for display. the 6th shelf also has some damage on the part that locks into the metal. the concept of how the shelves slide into place seems simple but was actually hard making the shelves slide down, it is a very snug fit which is good for making it sturdy but a pain to put together! the metal frame is in good shape with no pitting to the metal. the shelves are particle board with a white laminate on both sides. the shelves have some small chips as seen in the photos. a few of the dowels have broken off and are missing, however the shelves still sit almost locked in place. i believe there is one backboard missing but doesnt seem to affect the look. the one backboard has a crack and a large chip on the back as seen in the photos. it can be moved to the bootm of the unit and possibly be hidden. in spite of all ive mentioned, it still looks great and sits tall and sturdy. shipping should be simple because the entire thing comes apart. the only concern is the length and weight. it measures 77" tall by 30" long by 17" deep. this is a really terrific modern shelving unit.
